Snoring a lot makes our sleep unstable. Snoring is caused by vibrations of the throat which happen when the muscles that support our respiratory tract relax during sleep and the throat narrows when we breathe in.
People tend to snore more often when they sleep on their backs. So, one way to reduce snoring is to cultivate the habit of sleeping on your side. You may be able to sleep on your side for longer if you use things like a pillow made for side sleepers, which is higher on both sides, or a body pillow large enough to rest your arms and legs on.
