Event: Mini Snapshot Surprise Missions

There have been reports that the Mythical Pokémon Mew has been spotted in many areas.
Further research shows that Mew is ever-curious about sleeping Pokémon and has been flying around them!

That’s why Mew might show up in photos when you research Pokémon sleep styles.
Collect lots of Snapshot Surprise photos with Mew in them and progress through Mini Snapshot Surprise missions to conduct more detailed research!

Overview

This week-long event is a special opportunity to once again collect Snapshot Surprise photos of Mew!

During this event, Mew will show up in photos as you research Pokémon sleep styles. You can progress through Mini Snapshot Surprise missions according to the number of photos taken with Mew in them.
Also, there will be various other bonuses when a Snapshot Surprise happens.

Additionally, you can obtain rewards by completing Mini Snapshot Surprise missions.
This is an opportunity for researchers who have not yet befriended Mew to befriend Mew. Researchers who have already befriended Mew can obtain a Eureka Seed (Mew)!
Note: The rewards and number of Snapshot Surprise photos needed to complete missions during this event period will be adjusted from the mission contents of the event that took place in March of this year.

Details

Mew’s Friendship Points
Researchers who do not encounter Mew during the Mini Snapshot Surprise missions will receive increased friendship points based on the number of Snapshot Surprise photos collected when Mew first appears during New Moon Day, or during Good Sleep Day, in which Mew is planned to appear in the future.
Note: This is only applicable to sleep research conducted during Good Sleep Day events until December 2026. Encountering Mew during sleep research after this will not give increased friendship points.
Note: Friendship points after the increase are capped at 24, and any friendship point increase beyond this will be discarded.
Note: If you have completed Mew’s Mini Snapshot Surprise missions but not yet encountered Mew, conducting sleep research before will cause Mew to appear and become your friend.
Note: For details on Mew’s appearance in Good Sleep Day, please look out for future announcement posts.

• Friendship point increases from previous events such as New Moon Day will carry over to Mini Snapshot Surprise missions, even if Mew’s friendship points max out.

For example, if Mew’s friendship points were at 20 and Mew’s friendship points max out during the event, the next time you encounter Mew, their friendship points will be at 20.

Limited-Time Mini Candy Boost
Mini Candy Boost uses fewer Dream Shards than the regular Candy Boost feature, so even beginner researchers can easily use this limited-time feature.

Using Mini Candy Boost lets your helper Pokémon get twice the usual amount of EXP from candies in exchange for using four times the usual amount of Dream Shards per candy. This feature can be used with up to 50 candies per day.

You can freely toggle this feature ON or OFF by tapping the button in the upper right of the Level Up screen. Consider using Mini Candy Boost when you want to level up your helper Pokémon!
Note: This feature will be set to ON by default during the event.

Notes
• If you wait to report sleep data that was tracked before the event began by selecting “Review Later” during the event, progress will not be made in Mini Snapshot Surprise missions.
• If you wait to report sleep data that was tracked during the event by selecting “Review Later” while mission rewards are still obtainable (i.e. before ), progress will be made in Mini Snapshot Surprise missions and mission rewards will be obtained.
• Progress in Mini Snapshot Surprise missions will not be made during the tutorial.
• You won’t be able to use the limited-time Mini Candy Boost feature after the event ends. If Mini Candy Boost is available again during another event, the amount of EXP gained, Dream Shard consumption, and/or the number of candies that can be used in one day may change.
• Normally, if overlapping events trigger more than one of the same type of bonus, the larger bonus will be applied, but during special missions, the bonuses will stack, creating a stronger effect.
