End of Pokémon Sleep Support for iOS 14

Thank you for playing Pokémon Sleep!

As we continue to create new features for a continually updating game, we plan to end support for Pokémon Sleep for the following OS versions as of the specified update.

From the specified update onwards, players using one of these OS versions will no longer be able to play Pokémon Sleep.

Support will continue for iOS 15.0 and above, as well as for Android 8.0 and above. If you use one of those OSes, there is no need to take any action.
If you are unsure whether or not your device falls into one of the above operating systems, please check with the manufacturer of your device.

How to Confirm Your OS Version

1. Open the Settings app.
2. Select “General.”
3. Select “About.”
4. Look at the “iOS Version” line.
Note: Depending upon your device, the app name, menu display, or steps required may vary.

To Those with Devices Using a Version of iOS Below 15.0

You can continue playing Pokémon Sleep by either updating your OS version or transferring your data to a device with iOS 15.0 or above or Android 8.0 or above.

Also, if you are using a device with an OS that will no longer be supported and have been considering purchasing a Premium Pass, please do so after updating your OS version or transferring your data to a device with iOS 15.0 or above or Android 8.0 or above.

How to Transfer Your Data

By transferring your data, you’ll be able to easily recover your data even if you change devices, uninstall the app, or otherwise lose your data.

There are two ways to transfer your data: select “Issue a Transfer Code” or “Social Media Accounts” (for an Apple Account or a Google Account).

How to Issue a Transfer Code

Steps to take on the device you’re linking from
1. From the home screen, tap Main Menu > Settings and More > Link Accounts.
2. Tap “Issue a Transfer Code.”
3. A Support ID and Transfer Code will be displayed.
4. Take a screenshot of the screen in step 3 or tap “Take Screenshot.”
5. You’ve finished issuing your Transfer Code!

Steps to take on the device you’re linking to
6. Download Pokémon Sleep on the device you’d like to transfer to and start the game.
7. Enter your account settings (Language, Country/Region, and Date of Birth).
8. Tap “Tap to Start.”
9. Tap “Transfer Existing Save Data.”
10. Enter the Support ID and Transfer Code that you were issued in step 3.
11. You’ve completed your data transfer!

How to Link Your Account with Social Media (Apple Account or Google Account)

Steps to take on the device you’re linking from
1. From the home screen, tap Main Menu > Settings and More > Link Accounts.
2. Select the service you’d like to link with.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to link.
4. You’ve finished linking your accounts!

Steps to take on the device you’re linking to
5. Download Pokémon Sleep on the device you’d like to transfer to and start the game.
6. Enter your account settings (Language, Country/Region, and Date of Birth).
7. Tap “Tap to Start.”
8. Tap “Transfer Existing Save Data.”
9. Select the service you selected in step 2.
10. Follow the on-screen instructions to link.
11. You’ve completed your data transfer!
